Barbara Ussery is a hard-working individual who has been interested in website construction since 1998. She learned HTML on her own, then in 2001 went to college to pursue a degree in Software Engineering. She graduated with honors and an Associate's Degree in 2003, then in 2004 she went back for a Bachelor's Degree in Electronic Business Management. She graduated in 2005 as a member of the Alpha Beta Kappa Society.
As a student, Barbara gained knowledge of several aspects of business, including Line Supervision, Management Functions, Project Management, Technical Writing, Research Methodologies, Business Communications and Contract Law. She also studied Network Security as well as database design. For her senior project, she headed a group of 5 people to produce, from the ground up, a sample e-commerce site.
In her position as Document Specialist for Standard and Poor's, Barbara was often asked to write instructional documents for different departmental applications, such as Neevia, the Brazilian Document Reader, the International Tracker, and Research Insight™ reports. While working for an ISP, Barbara was responsible for designing user interfaces for mobile devices, as well as for documenting various procedures and providing tier-one technical support for ISP customers.
Barbara currently works as a web-geek for a Third Party Administrator; among her accomplishments are the redesign and implementation of both the company intranet and internet sites.
Barbara is a creative individual who displays strong attention to detail. She can work equally well in a group or autonomously.
For fun, Barbara likes to play guitar and bass, read books, visit area restaurants, watch anime, swing bokkens, and build webpages. She has been known to go to area Science Fiction conventions and assorted festivals. She has also been known to sub as bass player for local Denver band 3ForAll, and is working on starting a band of her own.
